This week, Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer Jonathan Gold joins the party at Alma at The Standard hotel in Hollywood.
It was one of the biggest restaurant stories of 2015 when Alma shuttered its doors back in October. Now Alma has popped back up on the Sunset Strip. Chef Ari Taymor and his creative partner Ashleigh Parsons are offering diners an à la carte menu that features favorites like seaweed-tofu beignets, frozen foie gras crumble and roasted carrots with macadamia nuts and dandelion salsa. There are new dishes to try on the menu too, like a smoked trout and beet dish with shallots and a cabbage and crushed avocado salad.
Alma’s residency at The Standard, Hollywood, runs through Memorial Day.

Tip: It may sound a little strange but take a chance on the “Parsley Root, Fernet and Ginger Sundae.” Gold says you’ll be glad you did.
