When DnA went to Berlin in June, we encountered a strange tale of architecture, preservation and German power.
The story involves the onetime home of the Hohenzollerns -- the former Prussian royal family. Their Baroque “schloss,” or castle, was one of the oldest buildings in the heart of Berlin and its rise and fall and rise again embodies Berliners angst about their history, from the 1st World War to the DDR -- and has even touched people in Los Angeles.
DnA’s producer Caroline Chamberlain shares her findings.
