Summer Nights on 35mm

This summer, a group of KCRW marketing interns pointed their analogue camera lenses and captured moments from our Summer Nights series on 35mm film. The rolls have now been developed, bringing grainy textures and saturated hues to the surface of glowing faces and spectacular landscapes. From Old Town Pasadena to Santa Barbara to Chinatown, these 24 exposures depict the range of smiles, dances, colors and shapes that make up the many sensations of a free summertime outdoor music event. Summer days have drifted away, but uh, oh, those Summer Nights will forever live on film:
