KCRW is an award-winning multi-platform public radio station and NPR’s flagship member station in Southern California. We belong to Los Angeles, connecting diverse perspectives and the sounds of Southern California with curious communities around the corner and around the world. We are an always-on connection to music, news, culture, and our community — spotlighting unique perspectives through original programming and hand-picked content.
Through their generous support, Institutional partners provide a critical source of funding so KCRW can continue to serve communities throughout Southern California and beyond.

Grant Highlights
Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture
KCRW is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture. The Department’s Organizational Grant Program helps fund a wide variety of arts, culture, and music programs that you hear on air each day!
FOUND/LA
KCRW’s Small Business & Entrepreneurship programming is supported in large part by FOUND/LA who support local entrepreneurs with funding, education, and community. Our work in this area explores the small businesses in our communities and the public policy that impacts them.
Rosalinde & Arthur Gilbert Foundation
The inaugural KCRW Podcast Bootcamp was supported by the Rosalinde & Arthur Gilbert Foundation. Structured as a three-day program, the Podcast Bootcamp sought to teach the elements of storytelling, editing, sound collection, sound design, and story delivery to a cohort of aspiring producers to make their own voices and stories heard.
Annual Report
KCRW's most recent Annual Report covering 2020 through 2021 summarizes the symbiotic relationship between KCRW and our audience that helped us support each other and our community during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The report can be viewed here. Highlights include:
- As our listeners needed up-to-date information on the COVID-19 pandemic, KCRW produced more than 100 Daily Dose segments over the course of 15 months.
- KCRW’s Mission Critical Fundraiser in May 2020 lived up to its name with a 74% increase in the number of supporters.

Jamie Cataldo
Head of Development
Jamie credits KCRW for being the first friend to welcome her to Los Angeles over 10 years ago. She is thrilled to support philanthropic partnerships with those who believe everyone can benefit from having their curiosity fostered. She previously served as Director of Individual Giving and Events at Inner-City Arts and the Director of National Advancement for the American Film Institute. Her non-profit career also includes developing institutional partnerships for Center Theatre Group, the Natural History Museum, and the La Brea Tar Pits Museum. Originally from Florida by way of New Jersey, Jamie helped develop a magazine and mentorship program for young people to support smart career choices and also worked for environmental and social services non-profits, including Habitat for Humanity. Jamie is proud to have served on the board of Girls on the Run of Los Angeles. She has two unendingly energetic herding dogs (Henry and Maybe), a passion for travel, and her own art practice through frequent classes at Barnsdall Park. When she isn't catching up on favorite podcasts or making limoncello, you can find her mountainside with dogs in tow. She also has a cat who has absolutely no interest in art, running, or the dogs.
