Charleston Aftermath: Race, Civil Rights and the Confederate Flag

Yesterday, the US Supreme Court said Texas does not have to provide state license plants that include the Confederate Flag.  But the flag still flies in some southern states, including South Carolina. To mark this week’s deadly shooting of nine black people in Charleston, the US and state flags are at half-mast on South Carolina’s state capitol in Columbia.  But the Confederate flag is at full staff out on the capitol grounds.  Has the time come to take it down?
